Fully serviced and refurbished Yamaha CX2 preamp in near mint cosmetic condition! These are highly regarded and although not rare, it is very rare to find one available for sale refurbished in this condition. Lots of information on the 'net re. these and for vinyl overs, they have great phono sections for either moving magnet or moving coil phono cartridges This C2X sounds much better than when new, IMHO, based on the following upgrades done to it: - New main filter capacitors installed with 50% greater capacitance than stock- All other power supply and large decoupling electrolytic capacitors replaced with Nichicon HE low ESR type- All low value electrolytic capacitors replaced with film-type- All stock OpAmps for phono, tuner, CD, LD and tape input buffer amps replaced with 2068D in sockets - higher performance and much better sound - and sockets allow OpAmp rolling/swapping if desired. That's a total of 5 upgraded line inputs, plus phono. Video inputs left stock.- All controls treated with Deoxit to ensure static-free operation- All solder joints in high stress locations were reflowed- UF4004 rectification diodes (fast, soft recovery) replaced stock diodes in main power supply SORRY - Continental USA sales only.
