Interestingly, store cards for this merchant and all but one other merchant were produced by the Lanphear shop in Cincinnati even though the Mossin & Marr shop in Milwaukee was much closer. Perhaps Lanphear had better advertising or salesmen. Three die combinations are known for this merchant and all were struck only in copper. This rare variety is actually the most common of the three. For the other two varieties, the NGC census shows only one token graded.This token combines supply and condition rarity. It possesses medium red and brown color, a mostly sharp strike, and satiny luster. It is one of the finest known examples.All token, medal, and coin purchases are eligible for combined shipping.
