Original Early American Federal Tiger Maple Card Table 1780 to 1830 - $2,900 - (Mobile, AL)
This is a very rarely seen early solid tiger maple card table from an estate in Mobile Alabama. I was told it dates from the late 1700's to around 1830. It is all solid tiger maple, no veneer and looks to have the original brass rollers. It measures 35 1/2" both ways and 27 1/2" tall. The is a rarely seen style solid top that was made from one long board cut in half and put together. The top has wonderful character with worm lines, knots and great graining. The flat part of the top looks to have been restored at some time but the solid maple base looks original, all I have done is clean and wax it. I know very little about early furniture so please look at the pictures closely and email me with any questions or information. I would prefer local pick up but will try and ship by freight for the actual cost.
