WONDERFUL CENTRAL OHIO ATTIC FIND Dated 1889 50 inches x 72 inches Absolutely first class work. Found wrapped in brown kraft paper inside a locked trunk In remarkable condition given the materials out of which it was created and it's age of 138 years! Dated 1889 in three places. Maker's names and initials in multiple places Almost entirely silk, satin, and velvet Please note I am not an expert on quilts. I have shown it to several area clubs who marveled at it's condition. Six places where material has broken down. None larger than 2 inches square. None thru to backer Several places where braided edging has pulled from edge Would make an utterly one of a kind wall hanging.
