Up for Sale Made In U.S.A. Lot of 2 Vintage Original Rock'em Sock'em Robots Manufactured by Louis Marx & Co.Inc. Erie PA Circa 1966-67 History of this Iconic Toy Rock’em Sock’em Robots is one of the most recognizable toys of all time. The Louis Marx Company of Erie, PA also known as Marx Toys started making Rock’em Sock’em Robots in 1967. Molded into the bottom of the boxing ring is ”U.S. Pat. No. 3-235-259 1966.” The toy was designed at Marvin Glass Studios where other very popular games were also designed in the 1960‘s including Mouse Trap, Operation & Mystery Date. The initial release of Rock‘em Sock‘em Robots came assembled in a large box with a cyan colored Crowd Insert which is not included here, Managers Instructions and a Score Sheets pad. Later on the toy came unassembled in a compact box with a larger instruction sheet. Besides having the additional Assembly Instructions, the sheet also contained 10 perforated score sheets. There was no crowd insert. You Will Receive Two Rock'em Sock'em sets (Both Versions) With all pictured accessories included Boxes For Both Sets in decent condition with some tape repairs & staining associated with 50+ Years of shelf lifeAll 4 Robots are functional as they were intended by factory with the Unique un-winding sound when you knock their blocks off !!!! Both instruction sheets in nice condition and legible, 10 un-used score sheets in great condition. Ropes & pillars are very nice and 3 of the 4 Robots still have their name stickers adhered on their backs (Red Rocker & Blue Bomber) Base of un-assembled kit still has the stickers on sides displayed but curling a bit.
