W.T. Copland & Son Stoke Upon Trent Soup/Gravy Tureen With Under Plate & Ladle - $270 - (Onekama, MI)

Up for your consideration is this wonderful antique soup or gravy bowl tureen with lid, under plate and ladle. These are W.T. Copeland & Son Stoke Upon Trent Pink & Burgundy transfer-ware. They have a raised leaf accent on the lid and handles. The soup or gravy bowl tureen is and oval deep shaped bowl that measures 9 1/2" from handle to handle 6 1/2" tall x 3" deep. The under plate measures 9 3/8" long x 5 3/4" wide. The ladle measures about 5 1/4" long. The pieces have a red stamp and are also embossed. I see no chips or cracks. The colors are bright and crisp. The marking dates these pieces to around 1867-1890. Wonderful crisp color for this over 100 year old transfer-ware set.
