A great one of a kind find - marked Tiffany & Co. Val Saint Lambert crystal box engraved Karl Malden signed gold-foil American Express Travelers Cheques. An inventory note left inside box has it listed as a gift to Mr. Ogilvy from Karl Malden, highly likely as a thank you gift from Malden for a great paying TV commercial gig. Mr.(David) Ogilvy was with the Ad Agency for the American Express "Don't Leave Home Without Them" TV commercials. In 1975, it launched the "Do You Know Me?" campaign for American Express credit cards, in which a procession of presenters with famous names but not necessarily famous faces asked viewers that question. In a later effort for American Express Traveler's Checks, Ogilvy introduced actor Karl Malden as brand spokesman with his "Don't leave home without them" warning as tagline. Condition is pre-owned but in absolutely perfect condition -no chips,dings,scratches.
