Antique Silver 925 Cigarette card case 1904 England Trevitt and Sons - $195 - (Wilmot, ON)

This case fits the hand beautifully. Slightly concave it is delightful to hold. A small ding on the underside is noted but not detracting. Closes very nicely and the inside is a beautiful gold colour. Hallmarks are pictured, along with the letter D from 1904. Consulted with an expert from England for this information. Item was made in Birmingham, England by Trevitt & Sons, and was assayed in Chester, England, apparently at the time many Birmingham Silversmiths sent a proportion of their output to Chester as they were guaranteed a much quicker turnaround and lower costs than using the Birmingham Assay Office.
