Antique Wall or Shelf Clock Wood Case, Pendu Window, Beautiful Grain, Handsome - $160 - (Poth, TX)
For your consideration we offer a handsome wood case for either a wall, shelf or mantle clock. It is nice and heavy with matching quarter panel veneers in the interior. The interior also has glass side within the wood sides which is not something I understand. The glass looks original and it does not appear anything was added later, though it might have. The wood has beautiful grain and would show even better with a polish. The top is very 1930's deco, but we're not sure it dates to that period. Please use the zoom to view the pics and look at the detail. The case measures approx. 21 1/2"h x 11 3/4" at base moulding x 5" depth. The interior measures 18 3/4"h x 6 1/2"w x 3 3/8" depth. Please note the 6 1/2"w interior measurement is for the area where the works would fit, there are 2 side wood panels which are no included in that measurement, but are included in the overall width of the case. The round window for clock face measures (site) 6" diameter, the shield window fpr pendulum measures 4 1/4" center up and down x 5" w from tip of shield to tip. The interior windows or glass which we mention above measure 17 3/8"h x just shy of 2"w, the depth to the exterior case wall is 1 7/8". One side has glass the other does not. One who is handy with wood could make 2 very nice secret compartments given the exterior looks like it is a solid case.. replace glass and no one would know. Please look at the beautiful grain both in the front of the case and the matching quarter panels in the interior back. Shipping to the lower 48 will be $35, others please message for quote.
