Ted Lewis Museum 40th Anniversary Festival - N.A. - (Circleville, OH)

Join the Ted Lewis Museum as they pay tribute to Circleville’s favorite son and 1 of the greatest entertainers of all time, Ted Lewis! The festival kicks off with a screening of Ted’s 1943 biopic Is Everybody Happy at the Pickaway County Main Library on Friday at seven PM. Admission is free and so is the popcorn! The Saturday festivities begin with a free Kiddie Karnival at ten AM at Ted Lewis Park. Step back to 1903 with a side show, free cotton candy, story-time, crafts, musical instrument petting zoo and fun for kids of all ages! At 11:30 we will recreate 1 of the most popular forms of turn-of -he-century entertainment in Dr. Cooper’s Medicine Show. At one PM, the Pickaway County Main library will host a free lecture by Ted Lewis expert Mark Berresford entitled “Jazz De Luxe” - Ted Lewis and His Role in the Dawn of the Jazz Age, 1916-1920. The highlight of the weekend will be the Ted Lewis Orchestra Revue of 1952 at 7 PM at Circleville High School.
