Antique German Queen Louise of Prussia Hand Painted Miniature Portrait "KPM" Marked The plaque has a nice metal frame with a silk matting and it was made specifically for this porcelain miniature plaque. The plaque has a hand painted image of a beautiful woman and the back is marked with the number 23. Made in Germany and might even be KPM but there are no markings. Measures 4" x 3.25" In good condition but the matting is really torn and worn. Queen Louise of Prussia (1776-1810), she is typically depicted as a lovely young woman wearing a scarf around her neck to conceal a swelling, possibly a goiter, and thus started a fashion trend for wearing thin gauze like scarves around the neck, this likeness of her is hand painted on porcelain Check out my other items!
