Beautiful vintage lady's 18K yellow gold and diamond necklace/choker. The original 18K clasp has been replaced with a 14K clasp. Because 18K is so soft it would break very easy. The goldsmith told me it was better to have a stronger 14K clasp for such a valuable necklace. The red velvet heart shaped box shown in photo #2 comes with the necklace. The following information is from the Pacific Gemological appraisal dated November 14 1995 shown in photo #6. The appraisal will be included with the necklace. Contains (76) round brilliant cut diamonds melee Measurements: (1) approx. 4.50 mm diameter; (1) approx. 4.25 mm diameter (1) approx. 3.23 mm diameter; (9) approx. 3.00 - 3.15 mm diameter (64) approx. 1.00 mm diameter Weight: approx. 2.15 carats total (mounted estimation) Color: G-J, fancy brown Clarity: SI-1 to I-2 The mounting is yellow gold stamped 18K. The stones are pave set and four-prong set in a delicate pierced floral-style design with one center diamond dropping in the center. A curb link chain is attached to the center mounting. It is secured with a spring-ring style clasp. The finish is polished. The necklace measures approximately 15 1/2 inches long, 2.00 - 24.00 mm wide, and weighs approx. 12.90 grams total. Stamp on the end of the chain is 75% but the 5 is worn so only the 7 is clear. See photo #7.The spring-ring clasp is marked 14K. Please use zoom on photo #8.In pre-owned used condition.
