Hepplewhite is said to have been one of the most distinguished English furniture makers of the 18th century. The Hepplewhite neoclassical style of the federal period is a timeless design, characterized by lightness, slender lines and elegance. Its sleek silhouette is enhanced by the shield backs, slim squared legs and spade feet. This set of six 6 chairs includes 5 side chairs and 1 armchair. It is made of solid mahogany featuring the classic, elegant shield back and a padded upholstered seat on legs ending with spade feet. The seats are reupholstered and minimum restorative work has been done to the wood in order to preserve the patina. **Please note that one additional bonus armchair is being added to the set of 6. (This is just a bonus chair I am adding, we used the 2 armchairs for the head and foot of the table. The bonus chair is not one of the set of 6)
