SOME FACT ON ALAN FOSTER: Alan Foster has a very similar style to Norman Rockwell, and it served him well as he contributed 30 covers to The Saturday Evening Post, from 1923-1933. Unfortunately I couldn’t find a lot of information about Foster. His death is listed in numerous sources as 1969. But a couple of them have him dying in 1934 at the age of 42. Since his last illustration was published in 1933, I tend to lean toward this date. His death at such a young age may be the reason why there’s not much biographical information available.
