ANTIQUE MICRO BEADED FIGURAL SCENIC LARGE PURSE, SILVER FRAME PERFECT CONDITION - $2,950 - (Thousand Palms, CA)

This is a large museum quality purse, they are very rare and hard to find. I am offering it from my own collection. It is the best purse that I own. The scene describes a couple strolling arm in arm towards La Madeleine Church in France, they are dressed in beautiful period clothing, the garden is lovely. All in all a very peaceful scene from a time gone by. The body of the purse measures 11 inches from the top of the frame, the fringe adds another 1 3/4 inch. The width is 8 3/4 inches at the widest part on the bottom, the frame is 7 3/4 inch at it's widest, 6 1/2 inches where it attaches to the purse. The chain drop is 7 inches. The beads are tiny, I have counted 19 beads to the inch. The purse is knitted, which is the most desirable kind. The frame is silver colored, I think it is sterling, but there is no mark, so I cannot be sure. The lining has been redone and is a beautiful, soft green color. The purse is most likely made in Europe around the turn of the century, up to 1920. This purse belongs in the collection of someone who knows purses and will appreciate the quality of this one.
