Rare Mid Century Baker Knole Sofa - Great Original Condition - $2,500 - (Durham, NC)
We are downsizing and selling the vintage furniture from our beautiful and eclectic living room. See pictures. We are selling a vintage Baker Knole original sofa, two vintage baker chairs, two oiled leather Louis XV chairs, and an original gold leaf Maison Jansen coffee table. In this ad I am selling the sofa only - look for upcoming ads for other items. This vintage, original Baker Knole sofa is amazing and comfy. The pictures you see are of the same sofa. I included pictures of my living room so you can see the actual layout with the sofa.The sofa has reclining arms. When the arms are opened it is 83 inches long, 62 inches when the arms are closed. What drew me to this sofa in the first place is the Moroccan flair to it. The shape is cool, nail heads surround the entire sofa and in a unique design at the bottom. And I love the color. It's very rich and elegant. The original Mohair upholstery is in good condition for its age, with the exception of a stain approx 2.5 - 3 inches long and a 1.5 inches wide on the seat cushion. I don't know what the stain is, it came that way. Looks like someone tried to clean it on their own and has dried Mohair around the stain. I just reversed the cushion but it can be professionally dry cleaned. See picture. It's not that shiny or washed out in color. The pic just looks that way. One of the finials is loose, but doesn't cause a problem. I had a custom seat cushion made to fit the original material. It's made of down feathers and fiber so it's not too soft. It's a very comfortable sofa and clean. Smoke free house. I have a mini golden doodle but he's not allowed on my furniture and he doesn't shed. I'n not a professional seller on eBay, so you'll have to arrange your own white glove movers. I know there are a lot of good ones out there. Ask any questions - this is non-returnable item.
