Here for your consideration is a handsome spider skillet, likely from the turn of the century. Although unsigned, this was clearly made by a skilled blacksmith. The skillet measures approximately 10-1/2 inches in diameter, with three 5" long legs and a 10-3/4" handle. The surfaces show obvious signs of use from fire and heat but no signs of any notable damage, or warping. The underside of the wooden handle has a stable crack in it at the rivet, clearly from heat, dryness and age. ?Perfect for your hearth and fireplace utensils. Sold "as is" and as described.
