The case has some nicks and scratches and the acrylic sliding door has some tape residue on it that may come off with a little elbow grease. There are 10 metal thimbles, 2 plastic and 38 porcelain. A couple of the porcelain ones have chips. There is a wide variety of different thimbles from florals to Holidays to advertising countries. A great starter set for the new collector.
