Genuine antique map "Circuli Rhenai Superioris in quo oculis...." by George Matthaus Seutter, published in Augsburg in 1745. This boldly printed, brightly hand colored map of central Germany including areas around Frankfurt, Wertheim and Darmstatt, is a joy to look at and study. Elaborate Coats of Arms and grape vines surround the title cartouche on the upper left and goddesses, hunters and warriors embellish the map key and scale on the lower right. Map is in good condition with very light soiling and age toning. This is a beautiful map printed on heavy paper. Center fold as issued. Image measures 19" x 22 1/4". NOT A REPRODUCTION.
