1965 Gretsch 6122 Country Gentleman Chet Atkins - $6,000 - (Tracy, CA)
This Gretsch was made in 1965 and is a standard model for that year. It has been dated using Gretsch's sequential numbering system given that serial numbers were stamped into the headstock, not on the plaque, after this year.It is a double cutaway with painted f-holes. It has 2 separate mute pads and a gold plated Gretsch Bigsby tremolo. The pickups are also standard for 1964-1970, a Super 'Tron in the neck and Filter 'Tron in the bridge. Lastly, it came with Gretsch's Arrangement #3 "Tone-switch circuit with standby" controls. It features a 3-way pickup selector and individual pickup volume controls, but also includes a master volume and "tone selector" switch that offers neutral, bass boosted, and high cut tone.. in addition to a standby switch! This guitar comes with the original case, but it has been modified by the single owner to display their initials and has 1 fragile sticker on it. Please see condition description and see more pictures HERE. California residents will be charged sales tax. This item is a consignment and I cannot accept returns.
