Industrial Age/Steampunk Table Lamp, Steel, Cast Iron, Glass Insulators, Wood - $162 - (Mabank, TX)

This Industrial Age lamp is new with all new parts except for the three re-purposed glass power line insulators and re-purposed wooden sugar mold base. All the electrical components are UL listed. This lamp is an example of the lamps built during the Industrial Age in the United States to accommodate the newly invented light bulb. At that time lighting was produced by gas or oils. Unfortunately, the lighting industry was not prepared to build lamps that used light bulbs. Their alternative was to use pipes, valves, switches, etc. from the existing gas/oil lamp production and incorporate them into the new light bulb lamps. This lamp is my attempt to re-capture that era. The teacup candles add a nice touch. This lamp weights 7lbs. and 11ozs.
