Antique CENTIGRAPH American Adding Machine Company ca.1891 Column Calculator - $7,989 - (Wethersfield, CT)

The Centigraph is a very rare column adding machine. It can add up to 999 with just five keys. The machine works well and is in excellent, original condition. No rust an no funny smells. Some minor pitting to the nickel plating is present. The case is also in excellent condition and original. Most of the felt lining has been retaining. The Centigraph was invented by Arthur Ewing Shattuck who patented it in 1891 (patent no.453,778). It was produced by the Centigraph Co. of New York as well as by the American Adding Machine Co. of Atlanta, Georgia. Again, very rare. Less than a dozen surviving examples are known. The condition of this one is better than 90% of the others. You will not be disappointed.
