Vintage Lindstrom Wind-up Tin Boat with Lindstrom Box - $250 - (Clarksville, VA)

Up for sale is a very special and rare Lindstrom (Bridgeport, CT) tin wind-up boat with working motor, probably dating to the 1930's. Based on our research, this particular Lindstrom boat is one of the more rare Lindstrom toys. The good condition toy features four smoke stacks on the roof and a flag on the front. The boat body is painted brown with a "wood-grain" look. The top is painted red with lots of window cut-outs. We have included a non-original key. When wound the propeller spins nicely!! As a very special bonus, we are including a wonderful original Lindstrom toy boat box!! This nicely illustrated box is fairly complete with more damage to one end than the other (see photos). The box may be for a different Lindstrom boat, but we have yet to see another Lindstrom boat box anywhere!! They are very distinctive!! The boat measures about 14.5 inches long.
