Danish Mobelfabrik Teak Dining table & 7 Frem Rojle chairs - mid-century modern - $1,095 - (Jacksonville, NY)
This is a circa 1960s/70s Danish Modern Mobelfabrik 'mid-century' teak dining table that belonged to my wife's father (and which has been stored away for about 20 years); and a group of seven Frem Rojle Danish-made teak chairs obtained from another source (but which go extremely well with the table, and no doubt date to about the same time period). Without the extensions, the table measures about 3 feet by 4 feet 10 inches; and with both extensions out it measures about 3 feet by 8 feet 6 inches. The main table top is designed to be easily lifted off the top of the base so the extensions can be pulled out, then the top is set back in nicely between the two end extensions. If desired, just one extension can be pulled out at a time if that makes a table surface of the right size for you. I believe the table is a teak veneer, which was typical construction of this genre of Danish furniture. The name 'Mobelfabrik' is pressed into one of the crossmember supports on the table base, in addition to a circular logo reading 'Furnitue Makers DANISH Control'. The chairs are teak with black vinyl seats, and are clearly imprinted with the 'Frem Rojle' name on the bottom. This is a very nice table and set of chairs (admittedly 7 chairs is odd - it could be considered a set of 6 with a bonus chair, of a set of 8 lacking one!) Condition as noted above is not perfect, but not too bad overall either. If you are a wood craftsperson (or have a friend who is), you could probably redo the chair repairs noted above quite handily :-) CONDITION: Please read carefully what is written in the 'condition description' area above.
