Set Rare "Knuckle" Hand Clasp Friendship Type Antique Cast Iron Bed Side Rails - $200 - (Hutchinson, KS)
This is a pair of the rarest type of what I call the "knuckle", "friendship" or "Hand Clasp" type bed rails for an antique Iron Bed. I have been in the antique business for over 40 years and Ive seen 4 or 5 of these style beds and only one had the rails and Ive never seen a separate set of rails for sale. As far as I know, no one is reproducing these rails! If you need these rails, this is a rare chance to get them. Heavy steel angle iron rails about 1 1/2" on each side and heavy cast iron locks on each end. Very good condition with no chips cracks or repairs. About 74" overall length.
