Original, circa Mid-1800s (1820-1870) portable tin chest for medicine bottles and doctor's tools. Measures about 11-1/2" tall x 10 wide x 8" deep when closed and about 20" wide open. The outer surface has significant paint loss and one hinge on the upper right door has come loose. There are normal signs of age and use overall. Inside the paint is mostly original and intact. It looks like the middle drawer was repainted long ago. There is a secret compartment on the front, with a latch hidden in the upper right cubbyhole.
