Exceptional Sterling and Gold Yerba Mate Cup & Bombilla 19th Century - $975 - (Taos, NM)

Entirely hand made. Circa 1880-1920.Silver 900 to 950. Colonial art. Front face features golden design of tree and cabin. Used to drink yerba tea. The cup is ceremonial and passed from person to person during ceremony. The Bombillia is unusual in design, it's stamp seems to say 600 but is difficult to read. Mate cup has no stamp as mate cups were hand made by artisans. I will be selling more of these exceptional mate cups in the near future. Commensurate with age, excellent condition.
