Sun/Oracle 7040781 LTO5 BRSLA-0901-DC Ultrium 3280 8Gb FC FH tape drive - $450 - (Jonesborough, TN)

This new Sun/Oracle LTO5 tape drive was purchased for a library upgrade that never did happen. Unfortunately, though, in the meantime the original box was thrown away. I unboxed the drive, put it on the bench, hooked it up to FC, put a tape in, ran HP LT&T to make sure the drive was good and to upgrade the firmware to the latest release. That's been the only use this drive has ever had. As sort of a way to prove this, I can assure the casing is of course in perfect condition with no scratches or anything visible which would happen if it was mounted at all. Drive manufactured April 2015.
