Rare 1793 History Of Worcester County MA Fold Out Map Printed By Isaiah Thomas - $500 - (North Haven, CT)

Up for sale is this antique circa  1793 History of Worcester County, Massachusetts. Printed by Isaiah Thomas and written by Minister Peter Whitney. The book contains a foldout map of Worcester County, believed to be the first printed map of a New England county, and one of the earliest American county maps. The book contains information on each individual town along with some charts including some on population and Ministers in each town. Overall I would rate the condition between fair & good. The front board is separating a bit at the top, there is some foxing (more prevalent early), a University tag and a couple of stamps,  as well as general wear and aging, the map has a few small tears and some toning.
