Brandt Automatic Cashier - $565 - (Jefferson, IA)

This "Brandt Automatic Cashier" was used in a local bank during the first half of the 20th century. The changer works extremely well and is what I would call an art deco masterpiece. You simply push one button that is the amount of change you want (for example 43) and 43 cents is dropped into the bin in the lower front. You put you hand under the bin pushing back the trap door and you have the 43 cents in your hand. Actually I never used it at garage sales or anything, I have been very content just having it to look at. It's gives you the kind of feel like having a slot machine and it's not illegal.
