Antique 1898 Fire Department 3 Horse Drawn Steam Driven Fire Engine Photograph Product Details: Antique 1898 Fire Department 3 Horse Drawn Steam Driven Fire Engine Photograph The engine is at the scene of an apparent fire (out of the frame to the left) in winter (January 1, 1898 written on the reverse), with men and other horses in the image, and smoke coming out of the chimney of the engine, and a hose connected. The three white horses are waiting patiently and tracks in the snow lead out of frame to the right. Blue on white image, 3-3/8" x 3-3/8", mounted on a 5" x 5" embossed card with hanger holes punched in it The picture looks like it's a partical double exposure, or perhaps was taken through a window so that there is a reflection of the two rectangular blocks, one above the engine, one above the horses. Aside from that, some dust, and a few age marks, it's a great photo. Fantastic detail in the image. I am not considered an expert in this product and am selling it as found.
