RARE! Lot Vtg 60's FINE THAI Fabrics - Silk, TORAY Teteron Synthetic Silk, Wool - $400 - (St. Petersburg, FL)

Wow! Such a gorgeous lot of fine vintage fabrics!  My Dad bought these in the late 1960's for him and my mom, when he was stationed overseas. I think it is a batch of "his" and "her" fabrics - the toray fine polyester acrylics "synthetic silk" for my mom and the lightweight wools (?) for trousers for my dad, in matching colors. So cute and romantic, huh?! (Although, anyone could wear the silks and wools). The cream looks to be some kind of heavier silk? Sorry, I am not totally sure, but there are words on some of the fabrics if anyone can read the language! These have been lovingly and carefully stored all these years in the original bag, from Taj Mahal Tailors! NEW vintage!! Please also see some of the custom clothes I have listed, from this same tailor shop.  Gray wool?- 58" wide x 74" long (for men's dress pants?) (Basically covers the top of my Queen bed!) Cranberry wool?- 110" long x 36" wide (for a shirt? Feels lighter / thinner than the gray) Gray - looks and feels like silk, but fabric says "Toray fine polyester acrylic". I believe this is what is called "synthetic silk"- approx 73" x 60" Cranberry  -looks and feels like silk, but fabric says "Toray fine polyester acrylic". I believe this is what is called "synthetic silk"- 73 1/2" x 60" Cream silk?- 186" long x 40 1/2" wide I wish I knew more!  The fabrics are in perfect condition!! No fading, spots, tears, or anything! Who knew the original paper bag (and my mom's boxing) would be such great storage, lol! Gorgeous fabrics for a tailor to work with! The vintage TORAY Teteron synthetic silks are a rare and wonderful find! This fabric is very durable and beautiful! Does not fade or wear easily. Holds its shape over time. Always looks sharp and crisp! Only available in Asia.
