Large Antique French Bronze Figural Mantel Clock by Charles 19th Century - $2,500 - (Sharon, MA)
Tall Ornate Figural French 19th Century Bronze Clock, with Striking Movement Signed by Charles, in Outstanding, Fully Working Condition This is a tall all bronze clock. The condition of this clock is superb. Case and figure are very shiny, with few, very minor spots of tarnish. The striking movement could use some cleaning, but, nonetheless, strikes perfectly and runs well. It is stamped by Charles, the clock maker. Hand painted porcelain dial is superb, no damage at all. Hands are ornate. Front bezel has a convex beveled glass, rear door has a flat beveled glass. Pendulum and bell were removed to take a better picture of the movement, but both are included with the clock (I will include a key, as well). Pictures speak for themselves, but do let me know if you have any additional questions. The clock measures 23.5" (60 cm) high and has some weight to it. I will remove the figure for safer shipping, buyer will need to have it re-attached (single nut holds it in place, so this will be very simple). I am not a clock dealer - I am a clock collector and a member of NAWCC. I currently have more than 200 clocks and I keep buying more, so I have to sell some. I would be selling many more if I had the time to list them... Je parle le français un peu. Si vous êtes français je vous encourage à me parler le français. Please note that I will not ship to an address that is different from the one listed by eBay or PayPal unless the winning bidder can really prove to me that the address is legitimate. My prefered shipping for this is FedEx Home Delivery - UPS has been very bad at handling packages lately. Please note that FedEx shipments require destination's phone number, if eBay does not have yours and you are concerned about releasing it to me, we can find an alternate method of shipping.
