Makita 1806B 10.9 Amp 6-3/4" Handheld Portable 6-3/4 Inch Planer - $570 - (Muskegon, MI)

Just made a table out of two huge 12' long 5" thick white oak boards that I needed to joint together and the only option I could see was to use a hand jointer. I bought this new, sawed the boards with a long straight edge and with the boards on edge jointed them with the 1806B. The joint was perfect. Glued the two massive boards together and you can't even see the joint. Very nice machine, well made, powerful motor cut 5" wide with ease. I probably have actually run this machine for 4-5 minutes total. Comes with everything included out of new box, including a really nicely made WOODEN storage toolbox made in fine Japanese style. Impressive machine!
