Vintage 1978 Gibson J-45 Deluxe Square Shoulder Acoustic Guitar Tobacco Sunburst - $1,400 - (Bristol, TN)

This Vintage 1978 Gibson J-45 Deluxe is an awesome player’s guitar! It is faintly stamped “Second” on the back of the headstock. This usually indicates that it shipped from the factory with some sort of minor cosmetic imperfection. It does have some blemishes including two hairline cracks on the back that have been professionally cleated and repaired in the past. The repairs are intact, tight, and structurally sound. There is also a crack on the top that runs along the pickguard to the sound hole. This one is covered by one of the X Braces so it is unlikely to worsen and has proven to be stable over time. Other than that, the guitar just has the usual playwear you would expect to see and the finish still retains plenty of gloss! The playability on this guitar is outstanding: the action is nice and low making for a comfortably playing neck. The neck itself is straight and the frets still have plenty of life left. This guitar has a big sound that is not always present on these J-45’s. Awesome playing and sounding guitar!
