Superb Mesoamerican necklace - $150 - (Monterey, VA)

This is an exquisite necklace from Mexico or Peru. It was given to me some 50 years ago by a physician friend who traveled to central and south America each year in search of ancient Mayan or Incan pottery. He knew that I collected artifacts and brought 3 necklaces back for me. This is one of the three.They are comprised of agate jadeite and serpentine beads with zoomorphic figures carved on some of the beads. This necklace has a number of "barrel beads" in the strand.. All 3 strands are in excellent shape. I believe all to be authentic! DOC V
