Pre Columbian Authentic Bowl 1000- 1400 AD - $500 - (Philadelphia, PA)

Beautiful authentic Pre Columbian polychrome bowl, Chorotega indians C. 1000- 1400 AD, acquired in the 1970's. Noted U. Penn professor of archeology, at that time appraised at $600. From his notes: "motifs are Mexican, geometric design, macrobiotic activity, Chorotega 1000-1400 A.D." This bowl is interesting as origin is Costa Rica, Nicoya peninsula, but motifs show migration of different tribes & styles throughout region. No repairs or restoration as item has been wrapped in a box for 40 years!
