Vintage Revell 1962 Mickey Thompson Challenger I Bonneville salt flats Utah 1/24 slot car offered by MTH. In September 1960 Mickey Thompson one of the world famous merchants, draw his famous Challenger I across the barren salt flats at Bonneville Utah at speed of 406.6 MPH. This blazing speed earned for Thompson the credit of having gone faster on wheels than any other human, and only unfortunate mechanical breakdown on the return prevented him from achieving the official World's Land Speed record. In 1962 Revell issued the authentic kit off Challenger I. This is the original kit built slot car from 60's. We do have original box and instruction, if desired, but they are not part of this auction. They can be obtains separately. Car is in excellent condition, all original sticker with clear coat protection. Car is 9 1/2" long. We tested it on regular Carrera pike.
