Well it looks like quails to us but you can call them what you want, this has the old finish over top of quartersawn oak. RECENTLY WE HAVE SOLD a fireplace that went to Washington State with nautical panels or sailing ships, we sold, it shipped for $3,200.00 it was refinished but however we like this one much better because it has the old finish, this is 80 ins. tall, 5 ft. wide and at the deepest which would be the shelf, approx. 10 ins., the carved bird panels are 9 1/2 ins. wide, 11 1/2 ins. tall.
