Vintage Chrome Plated ? Clawfoot Tub Faucet - $35 - (Georgiana, AL)

Offered is a vintage 3 1/2" center claw foot tub faucet. It is in good condition for its age. Finish is beginning to thin in places. It was removed from a building built in 1940. Faucet was installed when building was built. I do not know the age of the faucet when installed. I believe that it is chrome plated but I may be wrong. I'm unsure of material/finish of that period.
