1951 FENDER ESQUIRE TELECASTER NECK with NEW FRETS ...This is a GREAT easy playing neck ..This is an original 12/51 neck that the fretboard has been flattened out some I would say an 1/8 of an inch . Fret board has a pretty flat radius and has just been refretted with medium size stainless frets. Neck its still as wide as a stock neck but a little thinner when I compare to a stock 65 strat neck it feels a little thinner to the first 3 frets then its about the same size to the 8th fret then it is a little thicker than the stock 65 strat neck .......measurements are 1 & 5/8 wide at nut .....2 inches wide at 12th fret .....3/4 thick at 1st fret not including the fret .....15/16 wide at 12th fret not including the fret . Also there is a carving around the bottom and end of the original decal, some fret markers have been replaced, a small chip of wood replaced by the new nut . The neck has been sanded but I would say not over sanded alot on the back the contours look and feel close to original. Neck is straight and truss rod works fine . no extra holes . Original rusty ferrules included .The decal and neck date are original . Overall I would say this is a great player neck as is the finish is just a lite stain with a very thin spray can lacquer over that just enough so it would have some finish on it .
