Vintage 1965 Airline ResoGlass Guitar Red White W/Case - $2,599 - (Columbus, OH)
Up for purchase is a vintage Airline guitar from 1965. Originally from Montgomery Ward, this guitar featured a fiberglass body and a fat neck. This guitar has had a setup for good playability. The neck binding was professionally replaced at some point in its life. Guitar has also been re-fretted with thicker frets, newer inlays and a new nut guide above the zero fret. Other than that, the guitar is all original and plays great. Pots will have some static only when they are adjusted, it's due to the age of the pots, they work perfect once they are set. Most of the time when you find these guitars the binding has started cracking and falling off the guitar, and most don't have any fret life left. This one has already had that done and feels great. Ready to play. A few small blemishes to the body from age. 2 black rubber stains at the top of the neck, near the headstock, from being on a guitar stand for a while. The replaced inlays on the higher fret levels, are slightly higher than the fretboard plane in a few spots, but doesn't interfere with playing the guitar at all. Some stress lines in the fiberglass from age, please review the pictures. All electronics are original. Comes with a reissue Airline Case that fits the guitar perfectly.
