This is one of the classics, and it is 50 years old. You are buying here a 1966 Fender Blackface Bassman amplifier - AB165 - which sounds great, and is in good shape. As you can see, it is missing the back panel. You can buy one online for $40. A couple of small gouges in the tolex, but for the age of this amp, it looks remarkably well. A little cleaner and elbow grease will shine it up just fine. Production number is 57....also has a PG. The serial number is A 22207. It has Audio Glassics power tubes, and it looks like the preamp tubes are the same. Pots have not been cleaned, but this amp sounds really good. If you want that three dimensional vacuum tube sound in all of its richness and tonal complexities, then this authentic 1966 blackface Bassman might be for you. As with all vintage tube electronics, I guarantee that this will power up and sound good. Might need a tweak here or there, but I think you will be happy with this. It weighs 30 pounds unpacked.
