Nihonto Katana Shimofusa Daijo Fujiwara-no Kanemasa ???????? - $5,000 - (Minneapolis, MN)

This is an antique sword I picked up recently. I don't know a lot about it but the blade is about 27.5" and the Handle is 9.75". Its a heavy feeling blade and is signed ????????. The blade was recently remounted in a fresh saya with a new habaki. The tsuka was also redone. The tsuba looks antique but I cannot tell about the rest of the fittings. The nakago is in a rough state. The photos I have are too large to fit in the auction but I will try to get some additional photos at a later time or on request. The polish is in good shape and you can see lots of detail in the blade.
