Unusual Antique Lighted Toy Carousel - $1,600 - (Colleyville, TX)

This early 1900's carousel has 9 lights,5 red and 4 yellow. Colors alternate red-yellow-red -yellow-etc. When the carousel is cranked, the horses go around and the lights take turns ,all yellows on,then off, all reds on, then off for each revolution of the carousel. I thought that this was pretty high tech for this early time period.The top has pictures of several different fishes with their names in German. I purchased this lately at an auction of a one owner toy collection of museum quality items including late 1800's antique dolls and doll houses and other exceptional antique toys.
