Vintage Working Duck Decoy Goldeneye Drake believed by Ray Andress Gananoque, Ontario Canada Ray Andress 1890-1955 is mentioned in " The Great Book of Wildfowl Decoys " and is considered to be " The Father of the Gananoque Style " of decoy carving. Purchased at small town auction near Ottawa, Canada. Unsigned but tagged and auctioned as Ray Andress. Also sent photos to Canadian Decoy expert who confirmed likely Ray Andress. Solid body / Glass Eyes Approximately 12 1/4 " long by 5 1/4 " at widest point Just over 1 lb 9 oz in weight Numerous marks and areas of paint loss. Slight separation at neck on right side.
