1950's Vintage Pippo Clown Doll By Georgene Novelties INC. - $250 - (Sanbornton, NH)
I have researched this 1950's Pippo the clown cloth doll and have realized that it is rare and has a worn tag which reads Georgene Doll made in NYC. The condition is good, the right side of the plastic mask face has minor indent, original clothing, felt hat, bells (3). This clown has a sweet face and my children enjoyed playing with it. Embellished added beads on the front original pom-pom and feet. My husband's grandmother gave it to me 35 years ago and she had it for awhile. She told me it was made by the Knickerbocker family which was a one of a kind rare clown. It was possibly a replica of the popular clown show Pippo the clown in Denmark (1958). Has storage odor but clothes are removable and washable. The back was hand sewn to the best of my knowledge. Description is the best approximation for the unavailable information on this doll which would be sold in as is condition. Thank you for reading.
