RARE Antique Russell & Stoll Red Onion Salty Signal Lantern - $345 - (Ocracoke, NC)
Antique Russell & Stoll Red Onion Signal Lantern. Galvanized body has a "salty" patina look to it and is 17" tall to top of ring. There is a brass tag with some raised printing on the lantern that is illegible, but I am told it is a Russell & Stoll lantern. Beautiful round red "onion" globe is intact and perfect with no flaws. The inside oil lamp is intact and made of copper and is very usable (*mechanism still has an old wick in it that moves up and down easily). The name on the wick's wheel reads "P & A, Waterbury, Conn." Has a partial chain on the top ring that looks to be original. Please feel free to ask questions. Selling for $345.
