Rare Antique Sevres Footed Porcelain Pink-Ground Cake Plate 18th c; Up for sale is the antique France Sevres footed cake plate with hand painted portrait and flowers dated post mid-18th century before the French Revolution (1789-1799). The portrait depicts the Queen Marie Leczinska (1703-1768) as marked on the back who married King Louis XV of France. This museum quality cake plate is enameled with heavy gold ornamentation. The pink color palette and the golden wreath surrounding the portrait on whiteware are separated by the floral motifs in variety. The flowers either on four sides of the plate or on three sides of the foot are all various in shapes and vibrant colors. The Sevres double L hallmark with “LF” helps dated it to be a post mid-18th century product. Measures: 8 7/8” plate diameter x 5 ½” base diameter x 1 7/8” high.
