? RARE Fed 3 Russian Rangefinder Film Camera Lenin Commemorative Historic Soviet - $1,970 - (Schaumburg, IL)
Up for sale is a Russian Fed 3 rangefinder camera with a set of various other attachments. The reverse of the camera has an inscription that dates to 1970 to commemorate Lenin's 100th birthday. The name it's dedicated to may or may not be to "Viktor Vladimrovich Vinogradov" or "V. V. Vinogradov", who was appointed by Stalin to be head of Soviet linguistics and administer of the Russian Language Institute (which still bears his name). The Fed 3 camera and turret viewfinder are dated to 1969, despite the 1970 year inscription on the camera. Perhaps it was commemorated in advance of 1970 and Lenin's 100th birthday, since that would be a huge event in Soviet history (?). The stock Fed 3 cap "fits" into the small recessed area, but not securely. Maybe you can glue it on to make it a single unit with the Fed 3 logo. See picture.
